89 Batman 25th Anniversary Poster

I’ve always loved Batman, or as it’s commonly referred to now: 89 Batman. I remember the first time watching it, dividing my time between Super Mario Bros. 3 and watching the VHS on Christmas morning. One of my favorite moments watching this movie with my family was when The Joker was using the joy buzzer to zap Tony to a skeletal husk, my mom said, “He (Joker) would never do that. Do you know how bad burnt skin smells?”  Love ya mom!

One thing, beyond the movie, that I absolutely love is the original teaser poster. Here is a design homage I did over the summer for June 23, 2014. The exact 25th anniversary of Batman. I’m finally getting around to posting this online.

May Madness?

Here’s some process of how I’ve been doing these Microsoft Illustrations.  I typically start out with a loose pencil sketch to get some concepts in place to discuss.  After we receive feedback, we execute on one or more of the sketches.  In the case of this March Madness illustration, we executed on three.  One of the three is then published.

Movie Markups

I Thought this poster on Kenneth Branagh’s interpretation of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing deserved a little extra attention.

Nuke Boy

130717-sequential-style-kearney-wat-boyCheck this little guy out! Inspired by the amazing work done on Fallout 3’s “Fallout Boy” illustrations. Believe it or not this cute guy’s going on a Hawaiian shirt design. More details to come.
